Enforcement and IP protection go hand in hand.
Important part of the enforcement strategy is a solid plan for seizure matters, especially in the Balkans region, where many trade routes intersect.
Filing an annual Custom’s surveillance petition enables the IP owner to:
– better inform the local Custom’s department on spotting fake and original goods
– share knowledge of the brand and its particulars beyond what might be generally known
– gain a more in depth understanding of the local situation (including serial offenders, size of the shipments , border crossing most commonly used,…)
Our office offers a flat fee which includes preparing and filing the annual Custom’s petition, printing of the booklet (if provided) and providing certificates on validity of IP rights from the IPO.
Note that the surveillance petition is filed per OWNER, which means it can refer to multiple applications/ registrations by the same owner.

And if you want to take it a step further – check out our 360 program, which combines the Custom’s surveillance petition with Communal inspection petition in order to provide the IP owner with 360 degree overview of the situation and includes our recommendation for further actions.
